Majimboism in Kenya
Related to country: Kenya

what do you think about majimbo. Is it practical to have it in kenya, bearing in mind it is equal to a state int he united states. Is it really going to accelerate development in kenya or is it a recipe for disaster?I think that it has the potential of aggravating tribal clashes in kenya. It is good for the provinces to be independent but let us not forget the past that majimbo carries. Some provinces are better economically and this might be a bone of contention. What do you guys think?

Majimbo
Before we all answer it has to be critically known that the people advocating for it did not say and i repeat that they will divide the country into provinces.
They said they will divide the resources equally and which the mechanisms have not been said how and where up to know.

Another thing please note that During the Bomas draft the issue of majimbo was there and nobody opposed it including the prevoius and current President.
what we should be asking about Majimbo curenlty is that DO I UNDERSTASND IT before one opposses or proposes it.

Majimbo The way Forward
I believe majimbo is the way forward to develpoment.
Some jimbos(provinces)have been neglected eg Nyanza and North Eastern. In a poor country like kenya, wealth is something to be ashamed of if we dont care about others development welfare. If I were president,I would suggest that the Israel government works with kenya and makeNorth Eastern as productive as Israel's desert is;number one producer of large oranges.....just a thought!

MAJIMBO
see what i meant, even if majimbo has the best intentions in the world, some people are very ignorant and the majimbo they know is ethnic cleansing, well we're already having it....I'm also kinda internally displaced,at least I have many homes...what about tthose who've had one home and know no other place to run to?
